Instagram finally gave us more pixels to work with, and some of y'all are still out here posting blurry, pixelated messes. Get with the program. The new size keeps the same ratio, but the extra resolution makes everything look crisp AF. If you're still designing at 1080x1920px, you might as well be uploading potato-quality memes from 2012.

Bigger, better, sharper. This is what high-quality content looks like. If you’re a photographer, creator, or just someone who actually cares about how their posts look, start using 1440x1800px. The extra width keeps everything sharper, and the height gives you more screen real estate. But Instagram still crops the sides, so if you’re placing text or key elements, keep them centered—don’t be that guy who loses half his caption to the void.
Why You Need to Upgrade (No Excuses)
- Stop Posting Trash: Higher resolution = sharper details. Nobody wants to see your pixel soup.
- Stay Relevant: Screens are getting better, and low-res content will make you look outdated.
- Look Professional: If you’re running a brand, business, or just want to flex with clean visuals, post like you actually care.
How to Adapt (So You Don’t Look Like a Rookie)
- Change your Photoshop/Lightroom export settings ASAP.
- Resize all your templates and overlays to match the new standards.
- Export your Reels at 1440x2560px unless you enjoy making your work look worse on purpose.
The IG game just changed, and the real ones are already adapting. If you're still posting in 1080px, reconsider your life choices. Get on the new wave, or get left behind.
